Human Heart Nature Mineral Lip Gloss Review

Sorry for being MIA but if you have read my last post I mentioned that I am doing my thesis this term until next term. I want to graduate already... By the way, here is a little tip on how to know if you are super stress:

You want to cry and you do feel like crying, but you do not have time to cry.

This is my situation right now. Trust me, I have told myself over and over again: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CRY. Anyways, I am reviewing Human Heart Nature Mineral Lip Gloss in Island Berry for you all.

Human Heart Nature is an organic brand so one is more or less safe using this brand.

Price: 195 php

However, I got this for free. My bought Human Heart Nature sets as Christmas present and she kept some for herself so I ask her for this lip gloss since she was not using it anyway. *Laughs*

The applicator is actually not bad. It is very soft and get about enough product to apply on the lips. I think the hole in the middle helps control the amount of product you get... That is just my theory.

Swatch with Good Lighting (Room Light)

Close-up Swatch (Indirect Room Light)

The packaging looks like a typical lip gloss packaging. The problem I have with it is the fact that it spills to the point that I have to roll a tissue paper around it to absorb the product so that when I bring it with me, it would not stained anything in my bag. It was a smart decision... Look at that tissue. I do not know if it is just me.

For those who have used the product, tell me if you experienced the same thing.

The colour in the tube is not the same as the one you will see on your lips. It looks very pigmented on the tube but it is sheer when applied... Then again, it is a lip gloss. There are barely lip glosses that are very pigmented and this is certainly not one of them.

Conclusion:

It is worth trying. Not drying on the lips but if you are looking for a pigmented gloss then this is not for you. I do not like the fact that it tends to emphasize the hyper-pigmentation going on the outer corners of my mouth though. However, for the prize and the fact that it is organic then you might be safe in using the product. I do like the experience I had with the lip gloss but would I be buying it for myself? Perhaps someday but certainly not now. I have a ton of lipsticks that I want to try and have bought... I am still buying more lipsticks to try and add to my collection.

Why not give it a shot?

Lip Smacker Cookies 'N Cream Review

Okay... I admit that I have been busy lately. I just finish my on-job-training and I am currently enjoying my very short vacation. Not really! I have to read two books for my thesis since I am going to start my thesis next term so good luck to me. Anyways, I am going to do Beauty or Make-Up posts to compensate for my lack of Fashion posts because with Make-Up posts I can easily insert it in my tight schedule. Besides, I have been obsessed with make-up products lately due to my face becoming oily lately. I am also currently obsessed/crazy for lipstick specifically matte or semi-matte or creamy matte lipsticks because it piqued my interest but I am in love with other kinds of lipsticks too.

That was a very long introduction. Sorry for being a chatterbox! I am now going to talk to you about Lip Smacker in Cookies 'N Cream. I have heard of Lip Smacker before but I never managed to try it since it is not that much available here in the Philippines. My sister and I managed to get two sets of Lip Smacker when we went to a department store... Either SM Department Store or Robinson's Department Store. Sorry, I cannot really remember the department store but I know it is either of those two.

Anyways, this is how it looks like:

When you first open it, you will not see the whole in the middle. I have been using this for a while now so I reached the middle of the lip balm.

I have been using this for a while now so I am pretty sure it is a little bit more longer than this...

What is my verdict?

I will be repurchasing Lip Smackers again (if I find one and after my sister and I consumed the two sets of Lip Smackers) for the following reasons:

1. It treats my chapped lips.
2. After using this, my lips feels so smooth, hydrated, and moisturized.
3. It is very creamy. (Disadvantage: It tends to feel heavy on the lips especially if you use it as a base and top it off with a lipstick that also happens to be creamy... However, that might be just me because I am very aware of it when I apply it on my lips especially if I applied two coats since I can really feel that there is something on my lips.)
4. It has this glossy finish.
5. It does not necessarily have a bad smell but this can vary on personal taste since the reason my sister told me to use this is because she did not like the smell.
6. For me, it smells like Cookies 'N Cream. (I am just reiterating #5)

Nivea Pinkish Boost 3-in-1 Review

Okay! I am so delayed in my posts... I mean that seriously! I told you guys that I have a lot of outfit photos to post yet it is still in my laptop and for that I am really sorry! Ever since the new term started, I have been stressed even though I have only one major well technically two cause the other one is my practicum. I am finally doing my internship. Anyways, going back to what I am saying I am really sorry for not yet posting the outfit photos. For now, I can only do reviews since I also have yet to take more outfit photos. If you have not noticed, I do not have anyone to really take my photos thus I take photos of my reflections. *Sad*

I know there are tons of Nivea Pinkish Boost reviews out there and many of you have been using this product but I have been meaning to do a review on this product and I have practically used this product for more than 5 years now. I have also consumed a lot of Nivea Pinkish Boost tubes already and repurchased this over and over again so... Here is my completely honest review about this product:

I am pretty sure a lot of you has seen this tube and know that it is not that big but it is worth the money for me because I have hyperpigmented lips:

My lips in a semi-dark lighting

My lips in a semi-dark lighting

My lips under natural light

My lips under natural light

As you can see that my lips are hyperpigmented around the sides but trust me it used to be worst than what you can see now... I did use something else to help lighten it but I believe Nivea Pinkish Boost also helped in making my lips' hyperpigmentation lighten cause I used it along the other product which I am sort of thinking of doing a review on but I'm still thinking about it cause I do think it is no longer being sold (still, if you want to know the product then tell me in the comments so I will do a review on it). *Sad* If I knew that product will disappear, I would have bought more. Anyways, going back to Nivea Pinkish Boost.

In the cardboard packaging, it says:
1. Restores your natural pinkish lips colour.
2. Reduces dullness of your lips.3. [It contains] SPF 15 protects the lips from further darkening.

When you open the cap, it looks like this:

I like it because it looks like a lipstick but it is plastic which makes it all the more easier to apply.

The shade or color is like this:

It is very pink but when you spread it on your lips it is not that pink.

The texture is very creamy and I just love how it moisturizes by dry lips... I always bring this with me. No joke! I cannot leave home with this. I just super love it which reminds me that I must restock this soon! I am only left with two more tube of Pinkish Boost (not counting the one you can see on the picture).

This is perfect for everyday use and for students like me cause it is not that bright to the point that people get distracted by it. Also, it looks very natural on the lips... I think it cost around 100 something pesos (Sorry! I forgot the actual price so I may be wrong about the 100+ price range but you can buy this in any drugstores, Watsons, Department Stores such as SM and Robinsons, and Personal Care Exchange located at Power Plant Mall, Rockwell).

One thing I learned about myself is I am a lip person. I do not really use make-ups as much as other women cause my mom does not really allow us to use make-ups and I just got used to it even though I am already at my 4th year in a University. Also, the reason why I do not really use make-up aside from the provided reason is that I have a acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin. My skin reacts quickly to make-ups that it does not like. However, one thing my mother did not deny is lip products growing up. Besides, I do have to thank my mom because my skin is not that damage due to make-up products because using make-up products at a young age may cause damage to your skin as a lot of my high school teachers explained. Thus, I am more of a lip person. Lip products are always first on my list. Second is eyebrow products and third is face powder (I recently got oily face probably due to the humid, hot weather of the Philippines so any recommendations for face powder suitable for Acne-prone, Oily and Sensitive skin like mine?).

Once again, back to Nivea Pinkish Boost...

I just super love what it does to my lips and I do believe that it helps treat the hyperpigmentation of my lips. I will continuously repurchased this. By the way, did I mention that I have been buying and using this product way before the current packaging? The design of the tube that you see in the photos was not the original packaging or design because before the design is really different but the tube is the same.

Conclusion, Nivea is my trusted product.

I almost forgot this has a scent that I cannot describe but trust me it is not pungent or smelly. It smells pleasant to me meaning it is not overpowering or something like that.

P.S. I did a review of Nivea Lip Care Fruity Shine before.

Note: Everything here is my opinion and this might not apply for you. The results might not also be applicable to you in other words, RESULTS MAY VARY!

2 Pieces or 1

Dress: ???; Watch: Citizen; Bangle/Bracelet: Celine (CLN)
I want to clarify something... The Celine Bangle I am wearing here is different from the French Luxury Brand Céline. The Celine brand I am talking about here is based in the Philippines where the logo of the brand is usually the three consonant letters "CLN".

I like wearing this dress because of the fact that it puts emphasis on my waist than my hips because I do have a small waist but my hips are big. That is why, this dress is perfect for curvy girls that wants to emphasize their waist.

I am sorry that I cannot remember the brand of the dress and I can no longer check the tag because I have given away this gorgeous dress. I do some spring cleaning on my closet once in a while to get rid of old clothes and make room for new clothes that I have bought and will be buying...

Anyways, I still have many photos on my laptop to show you and I better start shooting more outfit photos. Soon, you will know more about the outfit I am wearing in my blog's banner.

¡Hasta Luego!

However, I want to leave you a wonderful Chinese quote from the Taiwanese Television Series, K.O. One, said by Wang Ya Se played by Calvin Chen from the Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit.

Hoodie + Dark

¡Hola! It has been a while... I have been very busy with my studies for the past few months but finally summer break.

I was under a lot of stress from January until two weeks ago so I could not do any blog posts here. Being a Literature major is challenging cause it does take up a lot of our time. However, I still have fun since I love Literature and I learned a lot like the Spanish language. *Smile*

Anyways, I had these photos for a while now and I have been wanting to post it ever since.

Hoodie: Mark and Spencer; Jeans: ???; Top: ????
I must apologize for not knowing the brand of my Jeans and Top cause the Top was bought by my grandmother in China while the jeans... I seriously just forgot. So sorry! I would also like to apologize that I did not took a photo of my shoes cause I already remove them when I took the photos. For the record, I got home late that night and I have already remove my shoes because I was already tired. I was wearing the CMG-Matthews Black Suede Flats (you can see it here) with this outfit but you can also wear heels or boots with these kind of outfits.

By the way, this is one of my university outfit!

Anyways, you can see the top has an uneven cut that makes it interesting and nice at the same time. It works well for fitted jeans or jeggings (jeans + leggings) because the top is loose. Here is a little tip: If you have a loose top, wear a fitted bottom. It balances out cause if both top and bottom are loose, you might look sloppy. Another thing to note is if you wear a tight and fitted top and bottom, you might also look like you are being restrain and uncomfortable. It is always important to balance your outfit LOOSE + FITTED!

P.S. I still have a lot of photos in my computer that I have yet to show you so keep checking here for updates or you can follow my Instagram (@xoxosharm24) for updates. You can also follow my Pinterest (xoxosharm24) for blog updates under the board name "SELFIE".
